SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. —The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Board of Directors will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at the Sault Kewadin Casino, in person or via Zoom, https://zoom.us/j/83640619761. Those who have already registered for Zoom meetings need not register again.

On the agenda under Resolutions is: Authorizing Hearing Under Sec. 6.7(b) of STI Charter.

May 16 Meeting

Sugar Island Powwow Golf Scramble June 15, 2024, Tanglewood Marsh Golf Course. Registration starts at 2 p.m. with tee off at 3 p.m.

4-person teams $35 per person
Kitchen and bar will be open to purchase food and refreshments
Top three teams will receive prizes
Prizes for Happy Gilmore Hole and The Longest Putt
50/50 drawing and raffle items.

To volunteer please call 906‑203‑7508. All proceeds will help fund the 2024 Sugar Island Powwow, a traditional powwow organized by volunteers and committee members.

All baskets, grave blankets, wreaths, and other containers will need to be removed by May 18, 2024, in advance of the Wequayoc Spring Cemetery Clean Up.
